MakiChalle is a business contest (pitch event) organized by Makinohara City. Its purpose is to support startups and entrepreneurs challenging the world from a regional city and to create new collaborations with local industries. Since its inaugural event in 2022, it has grown into an international event with 168 companies from 11 countries.
No. Participation is completely free, from entry through the final round.
Yes, we have participants from 11 countries. There are no restrictions based on nationality or location, and overseas residents are welcome to apply. Online participation is also available.
Yes, the event is held as an online pitch event, so you can participate from anywhere in the world. Finalists can choose between on-site and online participation.
Plans are comprehensively evaluated from five perspectives: innovativeness, potential for regional collaboration, business growth potential, team execution capability, and social impact. Detailed criteria are included in the guide materials sent after entry.
